《中华人民共和国计量法》中规定：为社会提供公证数据的产品质量检验机构，必须经省级以上人民政府计量行政部门对其计量检定、测试能力和可靠性考核合格，这种考核称为计量认证。计量认证是我国通过计量立法，对为社会出具公证数据的检验机构（实验室）进行强制考核的一种手段，也可以说是具有中国特色的政府对实验室的强制认可。经计量认证合格的产品质量检验机构所提供的数据，用于贸易出证、产品质量评价、成果鉴定作为公证数据，具有法律效力。
According to Metrology Law of the People's Republic of China: Quality inspection agencies providing impartial data on product quality for the society shall pass the examinations on metrological verification, testing capabilities and reliability by the metrological administrative department of the people's governments above provincial level, which is called metrological accreditation. Metrological accreditation created by metrological legislation in our country is a means of mandatory assessment for inspection institutions (Lab) who issued the impartial data for society, and which can also be said a kind of enforce accreditation of the government with Chinese characteristics to laboratories. Data provided by the product quality inspection organizations which have obtained certificates for measurement attestation can trade the cards, quality evaluation, the results of identification as a notary data, which is legal effection.
取得计量认证合格证书的产品质量检验机构，可按证书上所限定的检验项目，在其产品检验报告上使用计量认证标志，标志由CMA三个英文字母形成的图形和检验机构计量认证书编号两部分组成。CMA分别由英文China Metrology Accreditation三个词的第一个大写字母组成，意为"中国计量认证"。
Agencies for inspecting of product quality which have obtained a certificate for metrological attestation can use metrological certification mark on its testing report according to the test terms of the certificate, and the mark is divided into two parts: a figure formed by letters of the alphabet CMA, and the testing agency certificate number. CMA formed by the capital letters of the first three English words China Metrology Accreditation means “ China Metrological Attestation”

Application requirements
1、申请单位应依法设立，独立、客观、公正地从事检测、校准活动，能承担相应的法律责任；建立并有效运行相应的质量体系;
The applicant shall be legally established, which is independent, objective and fair to engage in the testing or calibration activities, and it is able to bear the corresponding legal responsibility; establish the quality system and operate it effectively.
2、具有与从事检测、校准活动相适应的主要技术人员和管理人员;
Has the main technical staff and the management staff who engaged in the testing and calibration activities.
3、具有固定的工作场所，工作环境应当保证检测、校准数据和结果的真实、准确;
Have a fixed working place and the work environment should guarantee the truth and the accurate of the testing and calibration data.
4、具备正确进行检测、校准活动所需要的并且能够独立调整使用的固定和可移动的检测、校准设备设施;
Have the necessary testing or calibration equipment and facilities whatever it is fixed or mobile, but should be controlled or adjusted independently to guarantee the correct testing or calibration activities.
5、满足《实验室资质认定评审准则》的要求。
Meet the requirements of Lab qualification cognizance and evaluation criterions.

有效期validity
资质认定证书的有效期是3年。实验室应当在资质认定证书有效期届满前6个月提出复查、验收申请。
The validity period of accreditation certificate is three years. The laboratory should apply for re auditing six months prior to the accreditation certificate expiration.-
CMA实验室资质认定咨询服务流程：
The consulting service procedures of CMA Lab qualification cognizance:
1. 了解实验室目前状况，规划和要求，签订合作意向书；
Understanding the current state of laboratory, the planning and the requirement of the laboratory, and sign a letter of intent;
2. 根据实验室目前状况，提供CMA实验室资质认定咨询方案给实验室；
According to the laboratory situation, provide the consulting project of CMA Lab qualification cognizance;
3. 签订合同，方案作为合同的一部分需要盖章签字；
Sign the contract, and the consulting project of CMA Lab qualification cognizance as a part of the contract should also be signed and sealed;
4. 执行方案；
Execute consulting project;
5. 申请认可，直至获得CMA证书。
Apply for recognition until obtaining the CMA certificate.
