hey. happy new years! we’re pleased to announce our first show of 2009. we’ll be blowing up greeley in a fireball of rock prowess on friday january 30th with our buds the epilogues and some other dope bands. we haven’t had an all ages meese show in a grip, so for all you youngsters this is your shot. get some tickets today. see you there.

In the chinese calendar, 2009 is the Year Of The Ox. But we all know oxen are basically like a dumber version of moose, and that moose kind of sounds like Meese, so let’s just say that 2009 is the year of Meese. New album, new tours, new songs, new and sundry ways to totally rock.

The Meese boys have been enjoying some down time with family and friends, eating too much food, and packing on that extra 5-7 pounds that will cushion our butts for the long hours to be spent in our van this year. Which, incidentally, needs to go into the repair shop because I got a letter from Ford that says it could spontaneously burst into flames for no apparent reason. Is there anything more rock and roll than that? We might park in on stage during every show and hope it catches fire.

Keep an eye out on our blog for some great news in the coming weeks. I don’t want to give anything away, but it rhymes with “Scmalbum release date”, and has a lot to do with the “master plan” for 2009 of getting “every single living being on the planet” to hear our tunes, and playing a show in every town with “more than 12 full-time residents.”

guys, totally happy holidays to you and yours. all of us in meese are truly grateful for this crazy past year and are ESPECIALLY grateful for all of you sticking with us and being the best fans/friends on the planet. we are the luckiest 4 guys we know.

hey hey. just made it back to denver after a pretty insane 30 or so hours… thanks to everyone in vail who rocked out with us last night in the 8 degree windy blizzard that started as soon as we started playing. as crazy as it was, the crowd was amazing and we had a great set. it was hard not to look at all the snow accumulating on the tops of people’s heads. it was beautiful. however, this morning was a little less cinematic. we had to find chains for our van and go on a goose chase to see if we could even drive home, which we did at 6 oclock. craziness. but absolutely worth it. special thank you to the chiarelli brothers joe and michael for helping the band in many ways this weekend. you dudes are the best. peep some pic. -nathan

hey all. thanks to fall out boy and the academy is… and to all the awesome new friends we met last saturday at the ogden here in denver. we had a blast playing new songs for you and hope that you were digging what we were planting.

we’re of course, insanely looking forward to this upcoming saturday in vail where we’ll be playing the snow daze festival at ford park with the fray (”you never left me no messages!!!”). i personally am stoked to go back to the town that i have tatooed on my bum (if you’ve never heard that story before be sure to ask one of us).

hey everybody. i don’t normally do this, but i’m gonna use meese’s myspace to tell you all about a solo show that i’ll be playing tomorrow night at the larimer lounge in denver co. i have the crazy honor of sharing the stage with two insanely incredible artists - first, joseph pope, bass player for born in the flood and denver music god. second, JEREMY ENIGK! who fronted the band ’sunny day real estate’ and is a living legend. i’m going to playing all original solo stuff too. this show’s gonna be great, SO if you can make it out on a sunday night you will not be disapointed. that’s all. meese stuff is going great, we’ll give you an update later on next week.
